When you join The Friends of Pleasure Island State Parks, your membership acknowledges the importance of conservation of our natural resources. Our members are committed to preserving the ecological habitats of flora and fauna. Carolina Beach State Park and Fort Fisher State Recreation area now provide expanded hiking trails, migrating bird habitat, annual sea turtle nesting sites, surf fishing, swimming, and coastal education.
Volunteer with Friends!
The Friends of Pleasure Island State Parks utilize trained volunteers to assist the staff at Carolina Beach State Park and Fort Fisher State Recreation Area by hosting the welcome desk inside the Carolina Beach State Park and Fort Fisher Visitors’ Center, coordinating family-friendly events, participating in conservation measures in both State Parks, and serving on community outreach committes of The Friends of Pleasure Island State Parks.
